Join us at our annual Members’ Summit
The MiP Members’ Summit 2018 will take place on the 6 November from 9:30am to 4:30pm, followed by a reception, and will be held at Congress Centre, 28 Great Russell St, Fitzrovia, London, WC1B 3LN.
It is free for MiP members to attend and CPD accredited, and you can sign up here.
The event will include a number of workshop discussions on organisational change in your region. National officers and members of the national committee will brief delegates about organisational change in each region, and provide an opportunity for members to discuss what they want MiP to do to ensure that process change is managed well.
A structured discussion will cover issues such as job security, legal rights, work culture, bullying and discrimination. Delegates will then discuss and identify priorities for the union in the next 12 months.
This will be followed by discussion sessions on a number of topics, including:
- management life
- mental health
- pensions
- the future of management
- how digital technology can transform management
There will be a timely and interesting plenary discussion on Brexit and the future of social care, and confirmed speakers include Saffron Cordery, Director of Policy and Strategy and Deputy Chief Executive at NHS Providers; Dr Layla McCay, Director of International Relations at the NHS Confederation; and Sarah Pickup, Deputy Chief Executive at the Local Government Association.
There will then follow Channel 4’s health correspondent Victoria Macdonald in conversation with:
- Lisa Rodrigues, Mental Health Campaigner and former Chief Executive of Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (provider)
- Sophia Christie, System Lead CEO for Devon STP (commissioner)
All attendees are also invited to an evening reception, where you can meet and network with managers who work across health and social care.
