Join our National Committee
MiP’s member-led National Committee sets and oversees all of MiP’s work including our policy, operations and overall strategy.
Stand for MiP’s National Committee
MiP’s strategy, management and operations are overseen by our National Committee: 16 workplace reps, elected for two-year terms by the whole membership. Joining our National Committee is a great way to get more involved in your union.
The National Committee supports the work of the union by:
- Overseeing MiP’s relationships with employers, government and other partners
- Setting and implementing MiP’s strategy on recruiting and organising members and volunteers
- Agreeing policies for engagement with employers and within staffside and consultative forums
- Advising and assisting in developing key MiP services, such as our annual Reps Event and our digital communications
Each member of the National Committee represents the constituency where they work, broken down by:
- Scotland, Wales, London, NHS England – two seats each
- Northern Ireland and each English region – one seat each
To join MiP’s National Committee you must be an existing workplace rep. For more information, get in touch with MiP’s team of Organisers.
