MiP responds to Jeremy Hunt's offer on pay for NHS in England
Industrial action on Thursday suspended after intensive negotiations between trade unions and the DH lead to a pay offer

Health unions in discussions while preparations for Thursday’s strike continue
Preparations continue for the industrial action to demand fair pay in the NHS in England, starting with a 12 hour strike this Thursday, 29 January. Jeremy Hunt could put an end to this today by making a fair offer to the unions.

Industrial action starts with a four hour stoppage from 7 - 11 am on Monday morning
MiP is calling on members to support next week's industrial action in the NHS in England, with the short stoppage on Monday and action short of a strike with members taking contractual breaks for the rest of the week.

Because of the funding shortfall in NHS Wales, health boards have to find significant savings, some of it from staffing costs. MiP is consulting members over our response to the employers proposals, including changes in sick pay, incremental progression and mileage rates, and, for very senior managers, a further pay freeze.

MiP's new committee meets for the first time
MiP's newly elected committee met for the first time this week and re-elected Zoeta Manning as chair. The committee discussed the key areas of concern to health and care managers and how MiP can provide support and a voice for members on these issues.
