Active Managers, Active Union: MiP Members Summit, Westminster Central Hall, 31 October 2017 9.30am to 6pm

This year’s event will be different: we want to give you the chance to shape the future of your union and work together as managers to improve the NHS and make it a better place to work. Our mix of interactive training, policy debates, discussion groups and networking is geared towards giving you the tools you need to be an active manager and an active member of MiP.

At the summit, you can:

•    Join leading experts in interactive workshops that will help you manage better and lead a better management life

•    Take part in regional networks to discuss what’s happening in your patch and decide on MiP’s priorities for the next year

•    Help MiP get to grips with the key issues of pay (including the end of the pay cap) and pensions by joining in our policy-making debates

•    Hear Simon Stevens, Dean Royles, Sara Gorton and a range of other inspirational and influential speakers – and let them know what you think

•    Help us come up with a vision for what NHS management should be, and a plan for how managers and their union can influence the system for the better

•    Find out more about MiP benefits, contribute to MiP’s campaigns and get a sneak preview of our new website

•    Join us at our parliamentary reception in the House of Commons to network with colleagues and lobby MPs for a better deal for health and care managers and for the NHS

What delegates decide at the summit will directly determine MiP’s priorities for the year ahead. And every delegate will come up away with a clear idea of what they can do to play their part in improving the NHS and strengthening our union.

Remaining places are limited. If you have a place you won’t be able to use, please let us know so we can give it to someone else.
