18 April: Scottlish MiP members invited to Holyrood governance inquiry
Mon 20 Mar 2017
MiP members in Scotland have been invited to attend the Health and Sport Committee’s inquiry into NHS governance on Tuesday 18 April at 9am at the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh.
The committee is keen to hear directly from MiP members and this is a chance to share your knowledge, and influence the future governance of the NHS in Scotland.
“The format of our input into this inquiry will be informal which will allow you as a member of MiP to share your specific, expert knowledge, experience and opinion of NHS governance in a private environment,” said Claire Pullar, MiP’s national officer for Scotland.
MiP has been invited to bring a large delegation of members because the committee wants to hear from as many senior NHS managers as possible. The session will mainly take the form of questions and answers and MiP will not be making a formal presentation.
“I am delighted about our invite to this inquiry and the format,” added Pullar. “This is recognition of your expertise, hard work and the vital role senior managers play within the NHS. I sincerely hope you can join us on the 18 April.”
The Health and Sport committee will pay hotel costs for any MiP who requires accom-modation the night before in order to make the 9am start, and will also pay excessive travel costs.
If you would like to attend, please contact Claire Pullar on c.pullar@miphealth.org.uk. MiP Link Members should share this post with their full membership list.
